1899 – the first coke-fired blast furnace in Poland is built in the area of the present Foundry – the first castings are made. Interwar period – Zakłady Starachowickie becomes part of the Central Industrial District. In Starachowice, castings are made for the needs of an armaments factory (anti-aircraft guns).
After the Second World War – until 1993, the foundries were part of the Truck Factory – production of automotive castings. In the years 1993-2001 , Odlewnie was part of the Exbud Capital Group – one of the first private listed companies in Poland (privatization of the foundry). KOWAL FOUNDRY was founded in 1986 by Erwin Kowala. Currently, the company is managed by the 2nd and 3rd generation. We manufacture castings from aluminum alloys. Our activity is divided into 2 plants, in Ustroń and Chybie in the Silesian Voivodeship. In the first one, which is also our headquarters, we produce sand castings, in the second – pressure castings. From the beginning, the sale of castings has been systematically increasing and currently amounts to approximately 480 tons / year.Our vision of development is focused on offering comprehensively made castings using our own production capabilities, thus making ourselves independent of external companies.
